Job Description:
The role is to test and debug firmware for CSR’s range of wireless chips, and to develop and enhance CSR’s automated test framework. The automation framework and test scripts are primarily written in Tcl/Tk and Python.

Key Responsibilities:
· Create detailed test plans from product/feature requirements
· Design and develop automation test scripts for new features and/or enhanced coverage
· Develop, enhance and maintain the test Automation framework
· Conduct peer reviews of scripts and test results
· Tests software of major scale and complexity to agreed timescales
· Actively participate in debugging of problems and suggesting fixes on target platforms.
· Represent test team in bug scrubs and design reviews
· Task definition and work breakdown including time estimation
· Delivery of high quality software test results in line with the department’s processes
· Creation of relevant documentation following the department’s processes
· Contribute towards continuous improvements of test coverage, execution, automation and processes

Person Specification – Required
· Proven experience of testing and debugging Audio firmware and interfaces (PCM, I2S, SPDIF, ADC/DAC etc.)
· High level of proficiency with scripting languages (Tcl/Tk OR Python desired).
· Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills that can be applied to resolve potential  system issues
· Conversant with usage of Audio Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Digital Multimeters etc.
· Effective team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
· Familiar with software configuration tools preferably Perforce
· M.Tech/M.E/B.Tech/B.E – Computers, Electronics or Electrical
